Favorite Friends vs. Best Friends

A favorite friend is much different than a best friend. Favorite friends and best friends are not entirely mutually exclusive though.

A favorite friend is often confused with a best friend and vice versa. A favorite friend is someone you enjoy spending time with and like very much. A best friend is someone who has your best interest at heart, who truly and deeply cares about you. Your favorite friend, although fun to be around may not have your best interest at heart, but you might like to be around them more; this can cause you to mistake your favorite friend for your best friend. That is usually how people become confused by the two. Your best friend is the one who treats you the best, and who helps you be your best!

On this subject matter, my advice to all of you is to:

Choose your friends wisely, don't mistake your favorite friends for your best friends, and make sure you are a best friend before you are a favorite friend if you can't be both.
